Unlike many security suppliers, our management team come from a range of business and commercial backgrounds, so we have a deep understanding of our clients’ businesses. Our goal is to shake up the industry, bring progress and innovation into the market, and create better smarter solutions for every one of our clients.
As security specialists, we know our people are our greatest asset. The majority of our staff have an Armed Forces background, with many joining us from the renowned Brigade of Gurkhas or Her Majesty’s Household Division. This background ensures our team has the experience, training and mentality to succeed in even the most challenging security roles. It’s talent that is hard to find.
Every member of our management and operational teams has undergone extensive vetting and training. We are all fully licensed to SIA industry standards, and we have a strong commitment to ongoing training and career development for every member of the team.

Our close engagement with the Armed Forces empowers ex-servicemen and women to make the most of their valuable training and skills. Joining the Vigilance family gives them a positive route back into civilian life. We offer training, support and structure, and in return they give us their commitment, expertise and work ethic - a very fair trade.
A large proportion of our staff are recruited from the Gurkhas, so we’re very proud to support the Gurkha Welfare Trust with fundraising activities and awareness throughout the year. We’re currently fundraising to build a school in Nepal, and are hoping to reach our target and break ground in 2017. Watch this space!
As CEO, Seb manages the company and sets its course to ensure our customers benefit from the best security services that manpower and innovation can deliver in a digital age. He has over fifteen years’ commercial and media experience prior to co-founding Vigilance after realising a gap in the market for professional, reliable and ethical property security services.
As COO, Ed directs operations so that our enduringly tight-knit team is able to give our clients outstanding, timely service at every level. He joined Vigilance after 15 years in the Army, having been a colour sergeant in the Welsh Guards and an RMA Sandhurst instructor. Ed ensures our tightly knit team is the best of the best, and stays that way.
As commercial director Ian nurtures the customers we love to serve, and builds our business relationships. To deliver to the standards we demand Vigilance's services are ceaselessly refreshed and strengthened. Ian evolves partnerships with firms that share our unique vision. His past commercial experience encompasses the corporate sector, SMEs and third sector organisations, and he uses his broad range of skills to deliver excellent service tailored to each client.
