Event security for a private event at a historic property

Situation

The owner of this listed London property briefed us to provide a discreet security presence for a planned event. They were anxious that the event might be exposed on social media, with the potential for gatecrashers and damage. We were asked to ensure the safety of the attendees, monitor arrivals and departures, and protect against uninvited guests so that the event could run smoothly throughout the evening. The client specified that a polite, background presence was needed, with the ability to take full control of a situation if necessary.

Solution

• Providing suitable numbers of trained and SIA-licensed personnel, fully briefed and ready, under the overall command of a senior manager
• Meeting the client onsite beforehand to establish the parameters of the task, and to clarify our objectives
• Establishing an operational base onsite, as well as managing car parking and continually but quietly monitoring the event’s security until the end of the night

Outcome

The event ran seamlessly, with an unobtrusive and efficient security presence ensuring the safety of the guests and property, and peace of mind for the client.
