Company Congratulates First Gurkha Lieutenant Colonel

Senior management of Vigilance Properties enjoyed a regimental round of golf on Monday 22nd December with the Brigade of Gurkha's latest Lieutenant Colonel, in celebration of his historic promotion.

Historic Promotion

Operations manager Laxman Pun and resources manager Gagan Thapa joined other members of Queens Gurkha Signals past and present to congratulate the newly promoted Lt. Col. Yam Bahadur Rana, 52, who becomes the first late entry officer to achieve the rank in 200 years of Brigade of Gurkhas history.

Champagne Moment

Vigilance operations manager Laxman Pun delighted in present Lt. Col. Yam a bottle of Moet et Chandon champagne to commemorate his accolade, and express the admiration of his colleagues and friends at Vigilance Properties.

Success Achieved

Lt. Col. Rana said:

"I am very happy to have achieved this success. This shows that Gurkhas can also achieve promotion to such higher positions within the British Army."

Gurkha Inspiration

Operations director Laxman Pun added: "Becoming the first LE Gurkha office to hold this rank of Lt. Col. in 200 years will be an inspiration for all young Gurkha soldiers, and a point of pride for us all."

Golfing Success

Rana's success proved to be not the only cause for Vigilance celebration on a highly auspicious day; the operations director himself achieved a personal milestone in securing division top prize for his golfing exploits, finishing his two rounds just four off handicap!
