Vigilance is delighted to announce the appointment of Mark McDonald as its new Commercial Director, overseeing all customer and commercial activities.
On his new role, Mark spoke of his passion for “ensuring our services are of industry leading quality. Focusing on working with customers to offer the best value and most robust risk solutions.”
Mark’s experience of security and property management is longstanding and profound. He has detailed knowledge of security service provision and has worked extensively for clients in sectors including Facilities Management, Industrial & Logistics and Insolvency. As a former general manager of a top restaurant group, he cut his teeth in hospitality and first discovered his passion for customer service.
Vigilance CEO Seb MacKenzie-Wilson applauded Mark for his promotion and commented: “With customary enthusiasm, energy and commitment, we know Mark will continue to polish and develop the extraordinary capabilities of his commercial team.”
Mark steps into the role from a successful two and a half years as Commercial Manager, a tenancy which saw him nurturing key accounts and curating new opportunities with stellar results. It is thanks to this that Vigilance has been able to enhance the strength of its customer base and develop innovative new products.
In celebrating an inspiring new chapter, the board also turns the page on a hugely successful period of growth under Ian Lyon’s inspiring stewardship, during which Vigilance’s commercial capability grew exponentially. That success will now channel into an ongoing strategic business advisory role with the senior team. Summing up, Ian spoke of the “privilege” of the past six years, while stating confidently, “Mark will be a resounding success in the commercial director’s role.”
