Dashain Dash raises over £12,000

Last Friday, our CEO Seb MacKenzie-Wilson was delighted to attend a gifting ceremony at the GWT head office hosted by Director, Al Howard. Following a gallant effort from all those attending our annual Dashain Dash, Vigilance was proud to hand over a cheque totalling £12,670. 

Following a fantastic effort from all of those involved, Vigilance and its supporters have now raised a total of £44,817.53 for the Gurkha Welfare Trust. 

GWT Director Al Howard said of the occasion:

"Thank you so much. The money you have raised will be vital for the children of Sidhartha Lower Secondary School.  Our 'schools programme' builds and repairs schools in remote regions of Nepal to improve access to education and in turn offer a better future to Nepali children."

Much of the Vigilance workforce originates from Nepal and as a result, there will always be a strong focus to continue to partner with the GWT to ensure that Vigilance gives back to the communities so closely linked to many of our employees. 

We look forward to continuing our strong partnership with the GWT and contributing towards the next community project.
