The Ministry of Defence’s Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) acknowledges employers who have provided exceptional support to the armed forces community and defence by going above and beyond their covenant pledges by employing and supporting reservists and veterans. Having been awarded Bronze earlier in the year, Vigilance is delighted to announce that the company has now been awarded ERS Silver, missing out on Gold by only the narrowest of margins, the team will be working hard towards achieving the top award next year.
This month we spoke to Tiffany Broome, to gain her insights into the role of security at large events. Tiffany is Head of Live Experiences at Bright Partnerships, a marketing communications agency specialising in partnerships in sports and lifestyle. She has twenty-years of experience in the Global sports events industry, and has worked on four Rugby World Cups, numerous Football World Cups, Commonwealth Games, ATP Grand Slams and five Olympic Games.
Vigilance was founded a decade ago with clear social enterprise goals. A top priority back in 2008 was to help veterans’ transition into civilian life within our day to day business. Much water has passed under the bridge, but in 2019 we stay true to our founding principles. Among our recent initiatives has been our engagement as signatories to the Armed Forces Covenant, and our participation in its Employer Recognition Scheme.
